Hey, I’m Sreyas K Brown of BA IGADD, and in this course, Creative Sequence 1 – Media Aesthetics and Visual Semiotics, I will be discussing the selected game, the role of semiotics, and how signs, colors, symbols, and visuals support game design. I’ll also explain how semiotics improve clarity and player experience, ending with a clear conclusion on their importance.

ENDING

THE PLAYER WHO COMPLETED THREE CAKES WINS

Rule

  • Each player have to put their tokens to the start area

  • There will be two dices. One for token movements and other for how much no. of cards to pick from the deck according to the dice number. Both dice have roll at a time

  • The movements in the board will go infinitely until someone wins the game

  • The game wins when someone bakes Three cake

  • There are two ways to bake a cake.  One way is to collect five cards which is Two same shaped ingredient cards, one bake card, one cream card, one toppings card. The other way is to get on top of a ingredient brown cake which is same shaped as in the ingredient card you have collected.

IDEA

GET THE CAKEE is a luck based, competitive board game where players moves forward to bake cakes by collecting five cards which is necessary to make a cake. The five cards needed to make a cake is two ingredients card, one bake card, one cream card, one toppings card. We can win a round in two ways, one is by collecting the five cards and the other is by collecting the five cards and the other is by getting placed in shape tile which is similar to the ingredient card.

This RVJ documents the process of my final board game project for the year. In this journal , I will explore the research ,ideation , and creative decisions that shape the final outcome . From analyzing existing games and identifying design trends to experimenting with mechanics , themes and visual elements, each stage will be recorded to show how the game evolves from concept to completion. This entry will serve not only as a design record but also as a space to reflect on the challenges, discoveries , and choices  made along the way. My goal is to create a board game that is original , engaging , and will balanced, guided by both research and creative intutions.
